The Bellaleaf Fitness Tracker

So this Bellaleaf thing is ah-maz-ing!!  Seriously, my husband got me one for Christmas after I had been heavily hinting that i wanted one for months.  Like honestly, what kind of fitness professional doesn't have a Fitbit or something similar these days right?!

Exactly.

Anyways, I love my Leaf.  I got the Gold on dark tone one.  And except for in the shower and swimming i don't take it off unless its to switch it from being a pendant to clipping it on my waistband or top.  It is %100 targeted towards women thats for sure!! Even if men didn't find it looked like jewelry.

"Looks like jewelry, acts like a health tracker."
 Seriously, when i got it i was playing around in the app that links it with my phone for several hours.  Curious what functions it has? Let me tell you;
  • tracks your movement and physical activity
  • tracks how you are sleeping and gives advice on how to improve it
  • provides built in breathing exercises
  • watches your menstrual cycle and tells you about your reproductive health, you can even tell it if you are pregnant so it can track your pregnancy health as well
  • set alerts so it will Vibrate if you are inactive too long or need to remember to take your birth control or do a specific task.
  • can manually input what activity you are doing including things like;
    • shopping
    • cooking
    • dancing
    • playing with your kids
    • shoveling snow
    • and even, SEX!!

If your wife, gf, daughter, grandma, yourself or any female you know is interested i would definitely recommend looking into the Leaf.  Especially if they forget to put their watch on half the time like I do, haha.

Do you or someone you know already have one? What do you think about it?  Let me know!

I am a Mom, so i will sleep when i am dead... right?

Having "2 under 2", which for the people who dont know means two children under two years old, teaches you a few things.

1. Your life will develop into a series of 3/4 hour naps usually.  Particularly if you breastfeed like i did for both my girls. In between those naps you will usually end up changing diapers, feeding tiny people and trying to either clean yourself up, feed yourself, or do one of one thousand tasks that seem to multiply daily.
2. Whats yours is theirs and whats theirs is of no interest to them until someone else has it or you take it away... Yup.
3.  During the day when they might be napping and you would love to nap with them chances are you are catching up on that ever multiplying list of cleaning, eating, bathing, etc.
4. Once you get both kids sleeping through the night and finally start thinking you will get a full nights rest yourself you are proven horribly, horribly wrong...

case in point...

I think perhaps I could use some pointers on meditative relaxing breathing.  For some reason i am wide awake even after catching only 4.5 hours sleep yesterday. So how does a person whose brain will not shut off, get some semblance of sleep before the alarm goes off the next morning and the cycle repeats itself?

Time to test out my Leaf's breathing exercises! Wish me luck.
